Prepare your company documents online in ~15 minutes
No Firmify lawyer fee for the standard pack. Prepare an EOOD or OOD online — documents are generated automatically; you sign with a QES and submit to the Trade Register. Complex cases may still need a lawyer.
Which legal form is right for you?
Choose the legal form that matches your situation. EOOD and OOD are the most popular forms for starting a new business in Bulgaria — they offer limited liability and a streamlined online process.
EOOD
Single-member limited liability company — ideal for a sole owner. You have full control of the company.
- 1 owner
- Minimum capital: 1 EUR
- Limited liability
OOD
Limited liability company — for two or more partners. Shared ownership and management.
- 2+ partners
- Minimum capital: 1 EUR
- Limited liability
AD
Joint-stock company — for more complex corporate structures. For AD we typically recommend working with a specialized legal partner.
- Higher structural complexity
- Minimum capital: 25,000 EUR
- Limited liability
ET
Sole trader — a simpler form, but with unlimited liability. In most cases EOOD is the better choice for a new business.
- Unlimited liability
- Higher tax rate (15%)
- No separate legal entity

Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about company registration
Firmify generates a complete set: articles of association (or partnership agreement for OOD), minutes/decision of the founder, declarations under Art. 141 and Art. 13, specimen signature of the manager and an A4 application for the Trade Register.
For standard EOOD/OOD — no Firmify lawyer fee: documents are generated automatically. Templates are prepared by a licensed lawyer. For complex corporate or cross-border cases we recommend a lawyer.
Yes. Notarial certification of the manager's specimen signature is required by law. This is the only visit that cannot be avoided. The fee is approximately 3–6 EUR.
Filling in the data takes about 15 minutes. After payment you receive the documents immediately. The notary and bank visits are within the same day. Trade Register entry takes 1–3 business days.
Trade Register state fee: 28 EUR (electronic) or 56 EUR (paper). Notarial certification: 10–15 EUR. Escrow account: 5–10 EUR.
Yes. For company registration Firmify supports signing the pack with a QES via Evrotrust and B-Trust (where enabled). You then submit the application in the Trade Register portal — Firmify does not file on your behalf. Other flows (e.g. VAT) may require uploading an already signed PDF.
After receiving your EIK, the next steps include opening a current account, choosing an accountant, insuring the manager and potentially registering for VAT. Firmify refers you to trusted partners for each of these steps.
For a standard business with a single owner — EOOD. For partners — OOD. For more complex corporate structures (AD) we recommend a specialized legal partner. ET is a simpler form but with unlimited liability — in most cases EOOD is the better choice.
Firmify is best suited for standard EOOD and OOD registrations. For AD, due to the higher legal and structural complexity, we recommend working with a specialized legal partner.
ET carries unlimited liability — the trader is liable with all personal assets. With EOOD, liability is limited to the company's capital. For most new businesses, EOOD is the safer and better structured choice.
