Registering with Firmify — How It Works in Practice
What registering with Firmify looks like
This page describes the real flow through the platform and shows an illustrative example so you know what to expect at each step. We do not publish invented testimonials or ratings — the example below is a representative scenario, not a specific customer.
How the process works
Firmify does not file on your behalf — the platform prepares the full document package and instructions, while you keep control of the filing:
- Fill in the company details in the online form (name, seat, scope of activity, capital, partners and manager).
- Pay and receive the ready documents — the founding documents and application A4 are generated automatically.
- Open an escrow account at your chosen bank and deposit the capital (minimum 1 EUR).
- Certify the specimen of the manager at a notary (a mandatory step regardless of how you file).
- Sign with a QES — electronically via Evrotrust, B-Trust or another qualified provider.
- File application A4 electronically at the Commercial Register and track the status until you receive the UIC.
Illustrative example: an EOOD in Sofia
The following scenario is illustrative — it summarises the typical flow through the platform, not a real customer.
Maria wants to register an EOOD for consulting with 10 EUR capital and a single owner-manager.
- Day 1 (morning): She fills in the form in ~20 minutes — picks a name, checks availability, enters the seat and scope of activity. She pays and downloads the document package.
- Day 1 (afternoon): She visits a bank, opens an escrow account and deposits the capital; she receives the bank certificate.
- Day 2: She visits a notary to certify the specimen (~3 EUR).
- Day 2 (evening): She signs all documents with a QES and files application A4 electronically (government fee 28 EUR).
- Day 5: The Commercial Register enters the company; Maria receives the UIC and activates her business.
Total active time for Maria: a few hours spread over 2 days. Total cost: government fee + notary + bank + the Firmify fee.
Timeline
| Stage | Who does it | Approx. time |
|---|---|---|
| Fill in and generate documents | You (with Firmify) | 15–30 minutes |
| Escrow account + capital deposit | You + bank | ~1 business day |
| Notary certification of the specimen | You + notary | same/next day |
| Signing with a QES | You | minutes |
| Filing and entry at the Commercial Register | You → Register | 3–5 business days |
Documents in the package
After payment you receive a ready package for a standard EOOD/OOD:
- Articles of association (EOOD) or partnership agreement (OOD)
- Resolution of the sole owner / minutes of the general meeting
- Consent and specimen signature of the manager
- Declarations under the Commerce Act and the Commercial Register Act
- Application A4 for entry
- Step-by-step instructions for the bank, notary and Commercial Register filing
All documents are populated with the details you enter, with validations that reduce the risk of common mistakes and refusals.
Outcome and next steps
After approval the company is entered in the Commercial Register and you receive a UIC. From there, the usual next steps are:
- Opening a current account (converting the escrow account)
- VAT registration when needed or when you reach the threshold
- Insuring the manager as a self-insured person
- Organising accounting and the annual financial report (GFO)
